Discovery/Strategy Phase
During this first initial phase, eVision gathers as much information the client has to offer through a series of meetings scheduled by a dedicated eVision project manager. Throughout these strategy meetings eVision documents the clients process and creates the three living documents that will live throughout the entire process: Content Analysis /Field Set Document/ and Functional Specification Document.
Design
During the design phase, the client meets with an eVision Interaction designer to complete what is called a 3, 2, 1 engagement. Here the designer meets the client to understand the desired look and feel of the new site. The findings of this meeting are documented in what is called a creative brief. This document will server as a roadmap for the creative team ensuring that the projects look and feel will elevate the brand and have a voice and tone that will speak to the client’s primary and secondary audiences.
Our Designers present from one to three “comps” or look and feels of the websites home page. Things that are considered here are the overall concept, layout and placement, color and tone, fonts, and content. After a direction is chose, there are typically 1 to 2 rounds of changes to tweak the design exactly to the clients liking, while adhering to design principle and usability standards.
Build/Front End Development
After the design phase is finished we engage in the third phase entitled the “Build” stage. Within this phase pages are built subject to standards that reflect the state of the art technology and are consistent with the tools currently in the hands of site visitors for exploring the internet. These include: XHTML 1.0 Transitional and Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) based development consistent with I-WAS standards. Here is where we confer fast page downloads, allow for rapid changes to templates, centralized control over layout and appearance, increase accessibility without special coding or user-agent detection, and use current and supported standards.
Content Management System/Custom Admin Tool Integration
After the site is fully built, the preferred CMS or Custom Admin tool solution is integrated by an eVision Interactive Senior developer. Here the tool is fully married with design and built pages and any documented custom development takes place. The tool’s custom editor interface is designed and created with the overall goal being ease of use for the end user. We believe changing content on your website should be a fast and easy process.
Quality Assurance
After the site hits its first Alpha state, it is run through a process of fully scripted testing, page by page, in all modern browsers. This is where the first initial bug fixes take place. Repeated testing gives it the ability to move into and establish its final Beta state, and get ready for final launch.
Launch
All final development files are pushed to their final environment until the DNS switch is pushed. This is when your site gets officially pushed up to the world wide web and we celebrate!
Search Engine Optimization
Evision offers monthly agreements of ongoing site SEO. As Google and various search engines continue to crawl sites daily, Evision is dedicated to keeping your business ranked high for your target keywords. Our goal is to improve organic search engine listings, improve brand identity, raise branding awareness & recognition, improve user traction on the site, increase user referrals, increase your return on investment, and generate free clicks to the website. We install Google Analytics on all sites so we can measure exactly how well the site is performing.
Our marketing team members are also trained Google Adwords monitoring.
Post-Launch Warranty
Evision Interactive provides a 25 day full service post-launch warranty on all sites created. This includes a wide range of bug-fixing and performance testing to assure 100% client satisfaction.
